5 ways to create a branded look on social media

In the bustling world of social media, establishing a recognizable brand look is vital for businesses striving to stand out. Creating a unique visual identity on social media platforms involves more than just selecting a color scheme or slapping on a logo. It’s about telling a story that people recognize as yours. Here are five strategies to help you create a look that screams “you” on social media.

1. Stick to Your Brand Guidelines: What colors do you use in your graphics? What about fonts? Or do you prefer to post only images? If you don’t know the answer to these questions, then you need a brand guideline! There are many perks to having a brand guideline. It cuts down on design choices, naturally creating a consistent branded look. And, it enables you to quickly create content because you already have a clear vision for the style of all your content.

2. Use Your Logo: One easy way to create a branded look on social media is to have a way to incorporate your logo into any post. Make sure you have different versions of your logo that can work on any photo or graphic and it becomes an easy way to add your stamp on a post. You don’t always have to use your logo on social media, especially if you are sharing user-generated content, but it’s good to use it in promotional posts &  testimonials for example. Be sure to use your logo in your profile picture, cover photo, and all of your bio-type places.

3. Develop a Unique Voice: How you “speak” in your social media captions says a lot about your brand. First, decide what tone of voice is right for your business. What you choose all depends on your industry and personal style. A funny or light tone may be the way to go, but if your industry is more serious, like a law office or consulting firm, then you may want to choose a more sober professional tone. The most important thing is that you pick and stay consistent!

4. Use Custom Hashtags: Do you use custom hashtags for your business? Brainstorm and create catchy hashtags that reflect your brand and encourage customers to use these hashtags after engaging with your products or services. Custom hashtags are a great way to build a community, boost brand visibility, and encourage user-generated content.

5. Keep Your Branding Consistent on Your Website: Your website and your social media should look like they go together so fans aren’t confused. If they look super different, fans won’t be sure if they have the right business so it’s important to keep the logos, colors, and overall style the same or corresponding.
